To take the bite out of onions
Cut the onions, salt them and run under cold water
Perfect medium boiled eggs:
Bring eggs to a boil from cold water
Boil for 4-5min//runny 3 min, then take them off the heat Plunge into ice bath. Remove. Run under water while removing the shell *The freshest eggs are the hardest to peel
To easily cut goat cheese into rings:
Freeze 15 min
Use floss to cut through
Sautéing fish:
Heat the pan
Then add the canola oil Warm oil
Then add fish
It will help prevent sticking
Put Pan of water underneath meatloaf while baking to prevent the loaf from cracking
Toss nuts and chocolate chips in flour to help them from dropping to the bottom of cake, cookies, muffins, etc
Use cold eggs when poaching it will help keep the whites together
Cook bacon in oven on parchment paper on a sheet tray Perfectly flat and easy clean up.
Turn once half way through baking
Bake on 350 approximately 15-20 min
When making blue cheese dressing heat 1/4 of the dressing to medium heat, let cool and add back it will elevate blue cheese flavor
Don’t have an oven rack for roasting use:

When cooking legumes do not salt water when cooking it will make the legumes tough. Salt when done and while warm
Forgot to chill your beer:
Wet a paper towel wrap it all the way around the bottle then freeze for 10 min
Use an egg slicer to slice mushrooms perfectly and quickly
Quick caramelized onions
Add a pinch of backing soda to the onions while cooking it changes the ph balance which cooks them quicker
